Front Brake Rotor Installation |
|
|
This is easy, and very cool: 1. Set your scooter on the center stand. Remove the axel nut and axel, and place the wheel down on a flat surface, with the rotor facing upwards, Fig 1. 2. Using a wrench or allen wrench, remove the bolts holding the brake rotor. 3. Install the new brake rotor, and line up the holes. Fig 2. Install the bolts, be sure to use a small amount of locktite on the bolts, just to make certain that they do not come loose during riding. 4. Tighten the bolts gently, alternating each bolt until they are snug. Now you can use more force and tighten them down securely. 5. Now it's time to install the wheel back on the forks. 6. Slide the wheel into place, gently inserting the rotor between the brake pads. 7. Gently slide the axel through the forks, be sure to secure the speedometer hub, and then push the axel all the way through. 8. Install the axel nut, and fasten it very tightly. Congratulations, you have installed your new brake rotor. |
